Early Education in Bristol
Desirable Learning Outcomes (DLO's) for Nurseries, Playgroups and reception classes of schools are arranged under six headings - personal and social development, language and literacy, mathematics, knowledge and understanding of the world (infant equivalent of history, geography and science), physical and creative development. OFSTED (Office for Standards in Education) reports made towards these DLO's in registered Early Years providers are currently available on request. Presently the government supports free part time places for 3 & 4yr olds.
