Kennet and Avon Canal Towpath

This goes east out of Bath, starting behind Bath Spa railway station. Three easy access points are: Bradford-on-Avon (station car park); Hilperton Marina (car parking and toilets); and the visitor centre at Devizes Wharf (pay and display). A cycle route with plenty to look at on the canal and several places to stop for food and drink. Besides the aquaducts at Avoncliff and Dundas, the other amazing feat of engineering is the flight locks at Caen, West of Devizes. Canal cycle tracks can be narrow in places, so not suitable for inexperienced cyclists, however they are flat so you may have a whinge-free day!
