Oldbury Court Estate/Snuff Mills BS16
Oldbury Court Estate & Snuff Mills BS16 Entrances at Oldbury Court Rd and River View (cul-de-sac off Broom Hill). Both entrances have car parks. This is a large park that extends from Snuff Mills to Frenchay, with the River Frome and a stream in its grounds.
Snuff Mills Car Park Entrance:
Off Junction 2 of M32. Take B4058 turn off to Stapleton. Drive for just over 1 mile passing through Stapleton. Turn right into Broom Hill then take first left at the foot of the hill into River View, which ends in a large car park (small cafe and toilets). This is the start of a delightful pushchair friendly wooded walk of about 2 miles, following the River Frome, past a water mill and weir, ending in Oldbury Court Estate. Mainly paved pathway. Can get muddy but don't let this put you off.
Oldbury Court Estate Car Park and Play Area Entrance:
Oldbury Court Road, Fishponds, BS16. Really excellent large, well equipped, fenced off play area located in this part of the estate. Equipment includes a 9.6m high tower unit with tubular slides, several sand play areas, swings, long slides, trains, castles, a crows nest and lots more. There are extremely pleasant walks by the river and woodland to explore, plus hills and fallen trees to climb for the more adventurous. There are toilets next to the play area. The whole area is well worth a visit!
