Great for picnics. Picnic site on the edge of the Cotswolds escarpment with panoramic views towards the Forest of Dean - on a clear day, you can see the Black Mountains in Wales. The 12 - acre area has been reclaimed as a wildflower meadow, with picnic tables and open grassland good for flying kites. It also includes Nympsfield long barrow, a neolithic burial chamber. The Cotswold Way runs the length of the site, and you can stroll through the adjacent Stanley Woods.
